From the UK, Ben Eine is one of the most renowned and successful urban artists the world-over and is thought of as a pioneer of exploring letterforms in graffiti. His distinct and iconic typographic style can be seen on large-scale street murals and sought-after canvases and prints.
In 2010 the UK Prime Minister David Cameron gave Eine’s artwork to President Obama as a gift, while a particular area of East London has been named “Alphabet City” after his colourful shop front shutter art that covers the area.
Ben Eine’s work is currently in the permanent collections of London’s V&A, The Museum of Modern Art in Los Angeles, and galleries worldwide, while his street art works can be seen around the globe such as the large mural he painted for the British Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Ben Eine & The Garage are releasing AMSTERDAM, a print that celebrates Europe’s top creative class city. Using his iconic Vandals font with Amsterdam Red for this new release, Eine’s AMSTERDAM print is an homage to this endearing city.
